GUJRANWALA, April 14: Ad hoc employees of the PTCL criticized the authority for its failure to regularize them despite the passage of several years and clear direction of the prime minister. At a meeting held here on Thursday presided over by Ad hoc Employees Welfare Association president Shahid Mahmood, the participants said that only 4,400 ad hoc employees had so far been regularized out of 7,200.
They said that most of the employees had become overage and could not seek employment in any other state-run department. In addition, they said that they had to face financial crunch on account of inordinate delay in their monthly salaries.
They demanded that all the ad hoc employees should be regularized in accordance with the law while steps should be taken to pay their salaries in time.
