PESHAWAR, April 8: Muhammad Munir was the sole leader with a three-stroke lead at the end of the second round of 27th Chief of the Air Staff Golf Championship here on Friday.

Muhammad Abbas and Akhtar Ali were joint second having posted an aggregate of 138 for the two rounds.

Waqas and Adil Jehangir were the joint leader in the amateur event after two rounds aggregate of 145, one over par.

Waqar who was seventh on the opening day having registered a four over par 76 in the first round turned in a solid round of 69 on Saturday.

In the net category, Siddiqur Rehman with a 12 handicap succeeded in maintaining his hold at the top with his net score 136, followed by Adil on 139 and Muhammad Hamid with 142.

Muhammad Arif recorded an eagle at hole number nine.

In the pro-veteran, Muhammad and Abdul Rashid with 74 each and Shaukat Ali with 75 were battling it out on Saturday.

The ladies and under-14 boys events over 36 holes will tee off on Saturday.
