Blast on Kashmir bus route condemned

By Our Staff Correspondent

MUZAFFARABAD, April 5: The AJK government has condemned a blast on the route of the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus service in Indian held Kashmir. “When things are going in right direction, attempts to sabotage them either on this or that side (of the divide) ought to be condemned,” said AJK chief secretary Kashif Murtaza at a media briefing here on Tuesday. He said the AJK government had made fool proof security arrangements for a bus carrying passengers to or from Opi Bridge in the Chakothi sector.

The bridge, also called the Peace Bridge, connects the two parts of Kashmir.

When asked if any minister was coming from Pakistan to attend inaugural ceremony of the bus service, Mr Murtaza said the function was of the AJK government and for the Kashmiris.
