KARACHI, April 4: A committee has been constituted to look into the grievances of students and parents vis-a-vis the private schools which are reportedly not issuing admit cards to their students for SSC annual examinations for want of fees pertaining to June and July. EDO (Education) Ijaz Ali Khan, announcing this on Monday, said that the committee, headed by DOE (headquarters) Mansoob Hussain Siddiqui, would be visiting the schools identified by complainants. It would submit its reports at the earliest so that action could be taken against the institutions which were violating the provincial government’s directive in this regard.

About two weeks back, the Sindh education department had notified that private schools were allowed to receive fee from Class X students up to April only and no further fees would be charged from them in any case.

The government had also directed the schools not to collect tuition fee from their students in advance. The fees, it explained, be collected on a month-to-month basis only.
