President, PM condole Pope’s death


ISLAMABAD, April 3: President Gen Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz have expressed their deep condolences over the demise of Pope John Paul II on Saturday.

President Musharraf said in his message that he was deeply grieved over the death of Pope John Paul II.

He said Pope John Paul II had rendered incredible services for peace and brought people belonging to different faiths closer.

The prime minister said Pope John Paul II would be remembered for a long time for his services to people.

He said he himself and the government and people of the country shared the grief over the death of Pope John Paul 11 with their Christian brethren of Pakistan and the world.—APP
