BANGKOK, April 3: Red-hot Malaysian shuttler Mohamed Hafiz Hashim captured his second straight tournament victory on Sunday by upsetting top seed Kenneth Jonassen of Denmark at the Thailand Open badminton tournament. Hafiz, 22, fought off an aggressive challenge by the world number four too snatch a straight-set victory by the narrowest of margins, 15-13, 15-13, to take the title.
The third seed and world number nine proved he was back in form by capturing his second trophy in as many weeks following a win at the Swiss Open last month.
