Shujaat, Bugti to meet today

QUETTA, April 3: The third round of talks between president of Pakistan Muslim League Chaudhary Shujjat Hussain and Jamhoori Watan Party chief Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti will be held on Monday in Dera Bugti.

The president of the ruling PML and its Secretary-General Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed were due in Dera Bugti on Monday morning, Nawab Bugti confirmed.

Two rounds of negotiations had already held between these leaders in Dera Bugti in which they had discussed March 17 incident that claimed a number of lives from both sides.

In the last meeting both sides had agreed to set up a three-member committee for reviewing the incident of Dera Bugti and monitoring the overall situation in this regard. The committee would comprise Senator Mushahid Hussain, a representative of Nawab Bugti and Frontier Corps officials.

Chaudhary Shujjat and Nawab Bugti had clarified after the last meeting that they had only discussed issues relating to Dera Bugti and Sui incidents while other issues of Balochistan had not come under discussion during their meeting.

It was also decided in their last two meetings that they would not disclose the details of the talks until reaching at a consensus.

After last meeting Chaudhary Shujjat and Senator Mushahid Hussain left for India.
