Late Pervaiz strike earns a draw

By Our Sports Reporter

KARACHI, April 2: Pervaiz Ahmad’s late equaliser helped Balochistan Police force a 2-2 draw with Bahawalpur in the All-Pakistan PTCL floodlight football at Dring Football Stadium, Bahawalpur.

According to details available here, Nida Mohammad opened the account for Balochistan Police with a header in the 34th minute following a right side cross from Naseebullah.

Bahawalpur restored parity through a 45-yard Mohammad Zahid free kick in the dying seconds of the first half. The hosts went ahead for the first time in the match after Naeem Mahmood shot from 20 yards in the 65th minute.

Pervaiz eventually rescued the winners when his individual effort resulted in the leveller six minutes before full time.
