Holland’s group to open stores

LAHORE, April 2: Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi said on Saturday that Holland-based businessmen would invest over Rs10 billion in the Punjab.

During a meeting, he told a delegation of foreign businessmen that the interest of investors from abroad was increasing in the Punjab. The delegation was headed by Holland-based Macro Group chairman PC Klaver. Habib Group chairman Ali S. Habib was also present at the meeting.

He said huge resources were being spent on the development of infrastructure and to ensure availability of communication and other facilities.

The chief minister said uplift of the private sector formed the basis of the economic planning of the government. The development of the private sector was attracting more foreign investors.

Pervaiz Elahi said the Macro Group would set up international standard stores in Lahore and other cities where fresh vegetables, fruits and other essential items would be on sale.
