HAFIZABAD, March 31: Three proclaimed offenders were killed in an encounter with the police early Thursday morning near Jandoki village. Kassoke SHO Ghulam Ahmad said that POs Iftikhar alias Nasari, Allah Ditta alias Dittu and Imran were present in the outhouse of Sharif Chidhar. On a tip-off, he said a police party raided there to arrest them. But on seeing the police party, the outlaws started indiscriminate firing. The police also returned the fire and killed all the three POs on the spot.

The police also seized three 44 bore rifles, one pistol and a large quantity of ammunition from their hideout. The deceased POs were wanted by Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Mandi Bahauddin, Jhang, Sargodha, Okara and Hafizabad police. Gujranwala DIG Muhammad Altaf Qamar has announced cash reward and commendation certificates for the police party.?APP
