PESHAWAR, March 22: NWFP Governor Khalil-ur-Rehman has said that there is a huge potential for economic development in the province as well as in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata). He said the government was trying to ensure the best use of resources for the well being of the people.

He was talking to a delegation of diplomats from 12 countries attending a course at the Foreign Service Academy in Islamabad who had called on the governor here on Monday, said a handout.

The governor said that the province and Fata were blessed with precious minerals and historical sites which could attract tourists.

Responding to a question about Fata, Mr Rehman said that the government was focusing on socio-economic development of the people of Fata.
