PESHAWAR: Minister asks Wapda to avoid load shedding


PESHAWAR, Feb 27: State Minister for Water and Power Amir Muqam said on Sunday that the government was striving to bring about qualitative changes in the life of the common man and a comprehensive plan was being prepared in this regard.

Speaking to office-bearers of Pakistan Muslim League, NWFP, during a visit to the party's secretariat, the minister said the country was moving on the right track of development and prosperity. He said the revolutionary steps taken by the government would have a positive impact on the life of people.

He directed the Water and Power Development Authority to avoid undue load shedding. Provincial PML President Agha Syed Ali Shah was also present.

The minister discussed with the party leaders arrangements for the proposed visit of President Gen Pervez Musharraf to Nowshera district. Later, the minister visited the residence of Awami national Party leader Haji Mohammad Adeel and condoled with him over his brother's death. -APP
