LAHORE, Feb 21: Pakistan cricket team will depart for India on Monday (Feb 28) to play three Tests and six ODIs during 49-day tour, concluding on April 18.
Earlier, Pakistan were to leave on Friday but the itinerary could not get approval of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) because a Test match had been awarded to Ahmedabad.
The PCB was not willing to play there on security grounds. Later, the BCCI accepted PCB's demand and new itinerary was finalised, allotting the Test to Kolkata, increasing the ODIs from five to six and giving one of them to Ahmedabad.
The Pakistan team will start its tour with a three-day match against Board President's Eleven at Dharamshala, a city of Himachal Pardesh situated about 50 kilometres away from Pathankot, from March 3 to 5.
Pakistan will play a warm-up One-day match at Hyderabad on March 30 before starting the six ODIs series from Cochin on April 2. The Pakistan team will return home on April 18. A short training camp will be held at Qadhafi Stadium from Feb 26. A 16-member team had already been announced for the tour.
