KARACHI, Feb 10: A large number of people including women and children held protest demonstrations in Clifton area on Thursday against government's proposal to hand over 77,120 sq-yards of amenity to the US government for relocating its consulate in the city.

Protestors, fearing nuisance in case US consulate is shifted in their area gathered at morning on Khayaban-i-Saadi, Boating Basin area, to voice their objections.

People were carrying banners and placard and chanting slogans against the government. They vowed to continue campaign against the proposed move saying the issue would be highlighted at other rallies and at the Karachi Press Club.-PPI
