KOHAT, Feb 10: All entry points of Kohat and Hangu from Orakzai and Kurram agencies have been sealed in view of fear of terrorism during Muharram.

The regions' deputy inspector-general of police, presiding over a meeting at the District Town Hall on Thursday, said inter-district movement of people for participation in processions would be banned.

He instructed all the assistant superintendents of police and SHOs to keep an eye on suspicious people not allow unnecessary crowds, especially of Afghan refugees, near the processions.

Earlier, speaking at a meeting of elders, he said nobody would be allowed to disrupt peace or take law into his hands.

He said personnel from the Frontier Constabulary, scouts and special police units had been deployed at all sensitive places, including imambargahs, mosques and seminaries and they would perform their duties round-the-clock.
