Conference on Balochistan proposed

By Our Correspondent

JACOBABAD, Jan 25: People's Party Parliamentarians MNA Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani has proposed a roundtable conference on the Balochistan situation, saying talks were the only way to resolve the issue.

He said that chief of the Jamhoori Watan Party Nawab Akbar Bugti should meet Pakistan Muslim League leader Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain to resolve the matter. Talking to reporters in Thul, Mr Bijarani said that the PPP had not stricken any deal with the government for Asif Zardari's release.

He said that the PPP had differences with the MMA on the uniform issue. He said that situation would have been different had the MMA not given concession to Gen Pervez Musharraf. He criticized the Sindh government for failing to maintain law and order in the province.
