ISLAMABAD, Jan 3: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced that it will facilitate young scientists to attend 55th meeting of Nobel laureates to be held in Lindau, Germany from June 26 to July 1, said an official statement.

This would be a unique opportunity of interaction for talented students and young scientists of the country with 40 Nobel laureates and about 600 fellow participants from over 30 countries in the fields of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Medicine, it said.

The facility would be provided only to Pakistani nationals, studying or working in public and private universities, degree awarding institutions and R&D organizations.

The candidate having MBBS or M.Sc or higher degree and having throughout first class academic career with merit positions in boards and university examinations would be eligible to apply for. The age limit has been set for graduate students up to 25, for doctoral students up to 30 years and for Postdoctoral scientists up to 35 years.

The programme has been jointly sponsored by HEC, PAEC and the Committee in Lindau, Germany. It has further been announced that the applications recommended by the heads of departments must reach representative in Pakistan for committee for the meeting of Nobel Laureates in Lindau before January 31.
