DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Lawyer shot dead in D. I. Khan

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Dec 29: A lawyer and an activist of a banned religious party were shot dead here on Wednesday.

Afeef Abbas Shah advocate, son of Gul Abbas Shah, of Nad Ali Shah, was going home from court when two motorcyclists attacked him. He received fatal bullet injuries and died on the spot.

Afeef Abbas Shah was a defence counsel in the murder case of SSP Ejaz Ahmed Langaryal. In an other incident, a worker of the banned Sipah-i-Sahaba, Yousaf Khan, son of Hashim Khan, was shot dead by two motorcyclists at the Gali Bagh Wali area near Leghari Gate.

Yousaf died on the spot. The assailants in both cases escaped, while the police are searching for them. DPO Saeed Khan Wazir ordered security alert in the city following the two murder cases.
