Quaid's birth anniversary celebrated

ISLAMABAD, Dec 25: The 128th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah was celebrated on Saturday throughout the country with great enthusiasm and national spirit.

The national flag flew on all principal government buildings till the evening.

The day started with special prayers in mosques for the soul of Quaid-i-Azam and progress of the country.

A ceremony of change of guards took place at the Mazar-i-Quaid.

People visited the mausoleum throughout the day and offered Fateha.

Various political, social and literary organizations organized programmes to mark the day.

Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television aired special programmes on the life, ideas and achievements of Quaid-i-Azam.

Scouts' rallies and march-pasts of schoolchildren were held.

Exhibitions of relics of Quaid-i-Azam were also arranged.-PPI
