KARACHI: Carol singing at PACC

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Dec 22: The Pak American Cultural Centre held their annual Carol singing evening in the PACC auditorium, which was organized by Christ The King choir.

The evening's programme began with Master Of Ceremonies Ian Fyfe rendering a recital of "When a child is born". He was accompanied on the guitar by Gerrard Vanderlowen.

The audience were then entertained by the choir followed by a Christmas dance by Danny Davis and Shannen Graham. New on stage were a talented group called "Strange Brew" with vocalist Brendon Emmanuel accompanied by Garrat Extross, bass guitarist, Llewllyn on lead and organist John D'Abro.

Another set of hymns were rendered by five children - Nicole Graham, Davina Gomes, Aaron Paul, Shannen Graham and Daniela Gomes - with Daniela and Aaron doing solo parts.

Then Gerard Vanderlowen and Norman D'Souza from the group "In Time" enthralled the audience with their duets. After the interval, Reuben Franklin, Neil Joseph, Devon, Walter Falerio and Rodney Burtles presented a recitation of "Oh Holy Night" with Yvette Franklin singing the lead and the young boys voicing the music.

Then Parish Priest of Christ The King Rev. Fr. Canasius Mascarenhas welcomed the audience and sang in Latin "Adeste Fidelis", which means "Oh come all ye faithful". After this Lynn Mary Fernandes and Natasha Blazey sang "There can be miracles" backed up by the choir with little Davina Gomes singing in Hebrew.
