KASUR: Couple crushed by tractor

KASUR, Dec 22: A couple was crushed to death by a tractor-trolley in Joya Khuddian village on Wednesday. Umar Hayat and his wife, Sakina Bibi, were going to Joya village when a tractor-trolley coming from the opposite side hit their motorcycle.

Sakina Bibi died on the spot while Umar Hayat sustained serious injuries. The injured was being taken to the Lahore General Hospital when he died.

ABDUCTED: A woman was abducted allegedly by two persons in Nathey Jageer village, Phoolnagar, here on Wednesday. Boota Masih along with an accomplice entered the house of Ajeet Masih in his absence and abducted his wife, Zarina Bibi. They also took away Rs3,500 in cash and jewellery.

LOOTED: Three armed men looted cash and gold from a house in Jambar Khurd village, Phoolnagar, here on Wednesday. The dacoits forced their entry into the house of Rao Sharafat Ali and held the family hostage at gunpoint. They escaped after collecting Rs145,000 in cash, 12-tola gold and valuables.
