ISLAMABAD, Dec 11: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has said that his administration was determined to improve the legal and judicial system.

He was talking to a group of lawyers representing district Bar associations, high courts and the Supreme Court Bar Association from all over the country.

Proposals were invited from all stakeholders to suggest ways and means for quick delivery of justice to the people, the prime minister said.

Prime Minister Aziz said it was people's right to get justice and the government would ensure that they get this right.

He called upon lawyers to assist the government and said quick dispensation of justice was an integral part of good governance.

Lawyers, he said, had the "responsibility of guiding the people and assisting the courts in disposing of cases quickly".

Prime Minister Aziz said delay in justice creates feelings of frustration and deprivation, which in turn affects people's efficiency.

He said the government had started automating revenue record to facilitate the courts to quickly adjudicate revenue cases.
