Four-goal Usman puts team into final

LAHORE, Dec 3: Four goals by Usman Hayee helped Adisseo cruise into the final of the Toyo Nasic Cup polo final beating PIP Group 5-3 1/2 on Friday. Adisseo led the first chukker 2-1 1/2.

Usman and Jamal Iftikhar banged home a goal each for Adisseo. Atif Tiwana, who scored all three for the losers, who also had a half-goal handicap, struck his first. Usman increased Adisseo's lead to 4-1 1/2 in the second chukker by scoring back-to-back goals.

PIP tried to stage a comeback when Atif scored twice to make it 4-3 1/2. But Usman's fourth goal ensured victory. Guard Rice reached subsidiary final beating En-Vogue 6-1.

Taimur Malik scored three while Sufi Haris two and Sufi Amir one. Ahmed Zubair scored the solitary goal for the losers. Guard Rice also defeated The Youngsters 3-2 with Taimur Malik scoring all three goals.

Babar Monnoo and Shamyl Alam scored one each for The Youngsters. All four goals by Shah Shamyl Alam enabled The Youngsters to beat En-Vogue 4-3. For the losers, Kamran Nooruddin, Ahmed Zubair and Maula Baksh scored one goal each.
