KARACHI: 3 killed in separate incidents

KARACHI, Nov 21: Three persons were killed in separate incidents in different parts of the city on Sunday. A man was shot dead in his house in Jalalabad area of Nazimabad early on Sunday morning.

Police said that some armed men barged into the house of Abdul Rehman, 50. On resistance, the suspects shot at him and fled. Later, his body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for postmortem examination.

According to police, the victim was a construction worker and had recently married for the second time. The victim's wife lodged an FIR against unknown suspects in Rizvia police station.

In Kalri, a taxi driver was stabbed to death. Police said that the body of Mohammad Rafiq, 35, was found by his wife in the Ghani Building where he used to sit with his friends. She lodged an FIR at the Kalri police station nominating Abdul Zaman and Papoo for her husband's murder.

In Mochko, a 35-year-old man was shot dead at the gate of his house located in Islamnagar Ittehad Town. Police said some unknown men knocked at the gate of Naseerullah Niazi. As he opened the gate, they shot at him and fled.

BODY FOUND: The body of a four-year-old girl was found near a residential building in Kharadar on Sunday morning. The infant was identified Unza, daughter of Imran and Uzma.

DSP Gul Hameed Samoo told Dawn that the baby was wrapped in a piece of cloth. Following the postmortem, doctors said her head was crushed. The girl's father had lodged an FIR against his wife, police added.
