KOHAT: Constable killed; pick-up snatched

KOHAT, Nov 21: A constable of Frontier Constabulary, Abid Shah, was killed by unidentified men in the Kohat cement factory area, here on Sunday.

The victim's brother lodged a report with the Saddar police station that Abid Shah had gone with his friends in the morning, but did not return till late in the evening.

Later, his body was recovered from the cement factory area on Rawalpindi road. The Saddar police have registered a case against unknown killers. Meanwhile, four armed men snatched a Suzuki pick-up from its driver in the Chakarkot area on Hangu road in broad daylight and whisked it away.

The driver, Hazrat Omar, resident of Hangu district, reported to the Ustarzai police that four men hired his vehicle from Hangu for Ublan Afghan refugee camp, Kohat. When they reached Chakarkot, they snatched the vehicle from him at gunpoint and whisked away. The police have registered a case.
