LAHORE, Nov 20: A meeting of the Punjab University Syndicate with Vice-Chancellor Arshad Mahmood in the chair here on Saturday on New Campus approved the setting up of a sub-campus in Gujranwala.

The meeting also gave approval of the proceedings of the Selection Boards and approved the notification of those candidates, who had been awarded PhD degree in different subjects.

The meeting also approved for the creation of a post of External Linkages director.

Earlier, the VC welcomed the newly-elected members of Syndicate Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Iqbal (retired) and Dr Sajid.

Justice Syed Jamshed Ali, Dr Shahid Amjad Chaudhary, Prof Dr Azhar Ikram Ahmad, Prof Dr Khawaja Haris Rashid, Prof. Dr. Mujahid Ali Mansoori, Prof Dr Shahbaz Ahmed Cheema, Syed Ehsan Ullah waqas, Prof Dr Shahzad Alam, Prof Dr Seema Aziz and Registrar Masudul Haq attended the meeting.-APP
