PESHAWAR, Nov 20: Three drama serials produced by local producers will simultaneously be aired on the national channel, a senior PTV official said.

Peshawar Centre's General Manager Mujahid Bin Syed Gilani said: "Previously we faced problems because we lacked modern equipment and it hindered our professionalism. Now, the headquarters has sanctioned nine cameras, of which three have already been delivered to us."

He was speaking at a press briefing about the centre's new programmes here on Saturday.

The PTV headquarters, he said, had allotted 125 minutes for Peshawar Centre's programmes on national network during the current quarter.

He said that the centre had started a live Pashto show in which audience could directly interact with celebrities. The centre, he said, was planning to telecast a live Hindko entertainment show.

He said that Aziz Ejaz was directing a 13-episode serial titled 'Ajnabi Raastay, Ajnabi Manzalain' authored by Nasim Nasir.

Likewise, Karim Khan was producing another serial 'Kahani Des Des Ki' based on folk stories from all over the world.

PRO Siddique Akbar said that the centre had been screening programmes on current affairs, music and literature.
