SUKKUR: Four detained by Rangers

SUKKUR, Nov 10: Wing-43 of the Shahbaz Rangers on Tuesday claimed to have conducted several raids in Daharki and Guddu areas and arrested four persons.

Those arrested were identified as Hazoor Bux Mazari, Shah Nawaz Mazari, Abdul Rauf Mazari and Ghulam Hussain Mazari.

Rangers officials based in Mirpur Mathelo told journalists that the Rangers also recovered a big quantity of arms and ammunition, including 10 hand grenades, 10 Kalashnikovs, one 7MM rifle, four shotguns, five pistols and 4,500 bullets.

They said the arrested persons were allegedly involved in the sale of illegal weapons to outlaws.

Informed sources told this correspondent that the Rangers had conducted the raids and made the arrests three days ago but had not announced it.

FINE: The special judicial magistrate visited the city bazaars here on Friday to check prices of essential items.

He imposed a fine of Rs3,000 on four shopkeepers for overcharging.
