QUETTA, Nov 3: Chief Minister Jam Mir Mohammad Yousuf has said that the parliamentary committee would find a solution to Balochistan issues after consulting all political parties of the province.

Taking to newsmen at an Iftar-dinner hosted by the Association for Integrated Development of Balochistan here on Wednesday, the chief minister said the people of the province had a lot of expectations from the committee.

"The committee would play a vital role in resolving all issues relating to the province," Mr Yousuf hoped.

He dispelled an impression that the committee was by-passing the Balochistan government.

Replying to a question, he said the provincial government would apprise the committee of its reservations and point of view when nationalist parties' suggestions would come before the government.

Responding to another question about the restoration of the chief commissioner of the Balochistan, he said that the province could not be divided on the wishes of a political party. "It is the wish of a single party."

He said that Pukhtuns living in Balochistan were getting their due rights.

Mr Yousuf said the Pukhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party was not the only representative party of the Pukhtun dominated areas of the province because Jamiat Ulema Islam, Awami National Party and other parties were also having Pukhtuns among its activists.

The chief minister said that provincial government raised voice about gas royalty and President Gen Pervez Musharraf also supported its stand. About the Tuesday bomb blast he said investigations were in progress.
