PESHAWAR: Five killed, 9 wounded in accident


PESHAWAR, Oct 26: Five people were killed and nine wounded in a head-on collision between a passenger coach and a truck near the Kohat tunnel in Darra Adamkhel on Tuesday.

The passenger coach was on its way to Parachinar from Peshawar when it collided with the truck coming from the opposite direction near the tunnel, killing Barkat Khan, Gullo Khan, Mohammad Khan, Oliya Khan and an unidentified person. Nine others were wounded

The injured were taken to the district headquarters hospital, Kohat, and the condition of five was stated to be serious.

NWFP Governor Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah, in a message, expressed shock and grief. He directed the authorities of the hospital to provide best possible treatment to the injured passengers.-APP
