PESHAWAR, Oct 24: A 132kv grid station will be set up at Ghalanai, Mohmand Agency, and funds for the project would come from the Federally Administered Tribal Areas' annual development programme for 2004-05.

According to a press release issued here on Sunday by the Tribal Electricity Supply Company, the cost of the project is Rs165 million.

On the pursuance of NWFP Governor Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah, funds for the project would be provided from the ADP, it said.

The project, expected to be completed by June, 2005, includes establishment of the grid station, laying of 25km of transmission line and erection of 90 High-power transmission line towers.

Currently, two 66kv grid stations supply electricity to parts of the agency.

The project would help overcome problems of low voltage, which force the company to take recourse to load management, the release said.
