DHAKA, Oct 12: Bangladeshi security forces have arrested 18 Indians who were allegedly carrying arms, ammunition and Indian military uniforms, police said on Tuesday.

"The 18 Indian nationals were picked up on Monday in northeastern Habiganj district from a hideout in a hill and had two single-barrel guns, ammunition and Indian military uniforms," police official Mohammad Ibrahim said.

New Delhi regularly charges that Bangladesh harbours Indian guerilla groups who stage hit-and-run attacks on Indian targets in the country's revolt-wracked northeast. -AFP
