US spy drone crashes

JACOBABAD, Oct 3: An unmanned US spy plane crashed near Essab Rind village on Sunday morning. Officials, who confirmed the crash of the three-foot-long spy drone near the Shahbaz Air Base , attributed it to a technical fault and said that the spy plane was on a during a routine surveillance flight.

No casualty or loss of property was reported, they added. Local villagers, who were startled by the sound of the drone's crash in an open farm land, rushed to the scene to ascertain the cause.

Later, personnel of the US Air Force arrived at the spot to collect the spy plane's wreckage. They were accompanied by personnel of police and Rangers. The wreckage was sent to the air base under tight security.
