By Our Staff Reporter

RAWALPINDI, Sept 18: Twelve people were killed and 18 others injured when a passenger coach fell into a ravine near Kahuta on Saturday night, police and hospital sources said.

The coach, coming to Rawalpindi from Muzaffarabad, plunged into the ravine after its driver lost control over steering-wheel while negotiating a turn.

Ten passengers were killed and 20 were injured. Two of them died later.

Hospital sources said the death toll could rise as four of the injured were in critical condition.
