LAHORE, Sept 12: Car dealers of Samanabad, Gulshan-i-Ravi and Jail Road continue to block roads and footpaths by parking cars despite the Punjab chief secretary's directions in respect of checking the practice.

The chief secretary has given directions for stopping parking of vehicles on roads and footpaths more than once. DCO Khalid Sultan also issued strict instructions for checking the malpractice on Saturday.

The DCO directed the City District Government and town municipal administration officials to deploy forklift trucks for removing the cars parked on roads and footpaths in Sunday Bazaars.

Car dealers in the three areas blocked the roads and footpaths during their Sunday Bazaars as usual, and the CDG or the town administrations did not bother to deploy forklift trucks for keeping the roads and footpaths clear.
