KARACHI, Sept 5: The Provincial Minister for Tourism and Culture, Shabbir Ahmed Qaimkhani, has directed officers of the department to accelerate the pace of work on 32 under-process schemes , besides calling for the timely completion of all mega-projects.

Inspecting development works, the minister urged officers to keep continuous vigilance and make no compromises on quality. He said that mega-projects like the Gorakh Hill Station and electrification of the hill station for which Rs53.342 million had been earmarked in the current fiscal year should be given prime attention, expecting the project to be finished by the end of the current fiscal year.

Shabbir Qaimkhani said that three out of 15 new schemes were being inaugurated this month. He also directed acceleration of work on all social welfare schemes. - PPI
