HYDERABAD: Protest held against attack on ST workers

HYDERABAD, Sept 3: The Sunni Tahreek here on Friday staged a protest demonstration outside the local press club against the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, and attacks on its workers , registration of false cases against party activists and their torture in police custody in Karachi.

Activists of the party were carrying banners and placards inscribed with "Dismiss the provincial home minister", "Withdraw false cases against Sunni Tahreek activists", "Eliminate Terrorism" and "Restore rule of law in Karachi".

Speaking on the occasion, Sindh committee member of the Sunni Tahreek, Muhammad Khalid Qadri, condemned terrorism in Karachi, salleging that Ahle Sunnat were being deprived of their rights.

The Sunni Tehrik leader called upon the Ulema and followers of the Ahle Sunnat school of thought to launch a struggle for their survival.

Khalid Hassan, Fahimuddin Shaikh and Qari Muhammad Ali Qadri in their speeches said that the law of the jungle had been enforced in Karachi. The ST leaders warned that terrorism, false cases and arrests could not affect the tahreek workers.
