Protest against US, Israel

QUETTA, Aug 28: An all Pakistan Shia action committee staged a protest in front of the press club on Saturday against killings in Najaf and Kufa, and desecration of holy shrines by US forces.

They were chanting slogans against America and Israel.

Allama Yaqoob Tawasoli, Allama Maqsood Domki and Syed Zahir Shah Zaidi led protestors carrying banners inscribed with anti-America slogans.

They said infidels forces have joined hands against Muslims, particularly those in Iraq and Palestine.

Speaking on the occasion, Allama Tawasoli demanded withdrawal of American forces from Iraq.They should be allowed to decide their own fate, he added.

The demonstrators also adopted a resolution demanding Americans' apology for killing hundreds of Muslims in Najaf and Kufa and desecrating the shrine of Hazrat Imam Ali (AS) and other holy places.

They demanded that the United Nations should take an action against America.

The resolution called upon all political and religious parties of the country to condemn the criminal acts of America and demanded arrest of the people responsible for the tragedy of March 2.
