Kasuri made ambassador at large

ISLAMABAD, Aug 25: President Gen Pervez Musharraf has appointed ex-foreign minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri ambassador-at-large with the status of a federal minister with immediate effect and till a new cabinet is sworn in. This was stated in a notification issued here on Wednesday.

ANOTHER NOTIFICATION: After the acceptance of Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain's resignation, all the four advisers have also ceased to hold office, says another notification issued here on Wednesday.

According to the cabinet division's notification, Syed Sharifuddin Pirzada, Prof Dr Atta-ur-Rehman, Mrs Nilofar Bakhtiar and Sardar Fateh Ali Umrani have ceased to hold office with effect from Aug 25, 2004. --APP
