VEHARI: Robbers' gang targets three houses in a village

VEHARI, Aug 13: Robbers took away cash, ornaments, electronics and other valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees in many strikes, three of then in one village, on Thursday night.

Reports said 15 armed men entered Japan returned Ishaq's house at Chak 369/EB and held up the inmates. They collected 30 tolas of gold ornaments, Rs20,000 in cash and electronics, and fled.

The gang also targeted lumberdar Ali Muhammad's house at the same village. It took away Rs200,000 in cash, ornaments and a rifle. Later, it took away 35 tolas of ornaments and Rs20,000 in cash from Mubashar Rahmani's house nearby.

Meanwhile, three robbers burst into Husain Safdar's house at Mitroo area and escaped with 25 tolas of jewellery, electronics and other valuables, besides cash.

Four armed men entered a DAP fertilizer godown on the Burewala road, locked the guard in a room and took away 260 bags of fertilizer worth Rs260,000. In Dokota area, two armed men entered a pesticide shop from where they took away the product in quantity.
