Mr Singh would also visit his alma mater while the Punjab government reportedly issued a directive to the education department to renovate the village school.

Meanwhile, DPI Muhammad Jamil Anjum, director (elementary) and the district education officer paid a surprise visit to the school and reviewed the provision of facilities to students and teachers.
