ISLAMABAD, July 7: Higher Education Commission (HEC) has offered post-doctoral fellowships to all the faculty members of public-sector educational institutions to study in developed countries of the world.
In this regard, the HEC has invited applications from all the faculty members of public-sector universities, centres of excellence and area study centres across the country, involved in teaching and research in any discipline.
The fellowships would be awarded on merit through competition at national level. The eligibility criteria set by the HEC underlined that the applicant should be a PhD degree holder in relevant subject. At least three years post-doctoral employment in a public- sector university/centre in the country is a must.
Age limit for the fellowship is 50 years, while evidence of acceptance by a recognized university abroad for undertaking post-doctoral research work in a specific discipline should be submitted along with a certificate of total 15 years of experience of working in universities and degree-awarding colleges or institutes.
