TOBA TEK SINGH, June 27: Armed robbers in police uniform looted passengers of a bus on the Toba-Faisalabad Road in Gojra area on Sunday.

The bus (5895-JA) was going to Multan from Faisalabad. Near Chak 282-JB, a car overtook the bus and three armed men in police uniform stopped the vehicle.

Taking the driver and passengers at pistol point, they took the bus to a link road in a deserted area and looted cash, ornaments and other valuables worth Rs1 million from passengers. The outlaws also reportedly tortured some of the passengers on resistance.
