Three more Jundullah activists arrested

KARACHI, June 17: Police arrested three militants of the newly surfaced jihadi outfit Jundullah, in a raid at a madressah in Orangi Town and seized weapons, it was learnt on Thursday.

City police chief Tariq Jamil confirmed the raid but did not say anything about the arrests. Orangi Town police officer Abdul Rasheed Khan, however, denied that any such raid had taken place in his area.

However, police sources said that the Orangi Town police had raided a madressah adjacent to the Allahwali mosque on Thursday evening, and picked up Rahimullah, Faizullah and Iqbal.

They were said to be affiliated with Jundullah. Earlier they wereworking for the banned Sipah-i-Sahaba Pakistan. The police sources also claimed to have recovered 12 grenades, four sub-machine guns, two G-3 rifles, five pistols and three .222 rifles.
