PESHAWAR, June 15: Four people were killed and another was injured in separate incidents in the city and suburbs, police said on Tuesday.

An Afghan refugee Mohammad Rafiq told the University Town police that his two nephews, Farid Ullah and Shabaan Ullah, had a juice shop in Shaheen Town, where three unidentified persons took juice on Monday evening and quarrelled with them over the drink's quality.

One of the customers took out a knife and stabbed Farid to death, while Shabaan received injuries and admitted to the Khyber Teaching Hospital. The accused escaped from the scene after the crime.

In another incident, Grana, widow of Aslam, told Badhber police that she and her son Jehanzeb were in their home in Shahabkhel village on Tuesday morning when four brothers - Sangdel, Manzoor, Muneeb and Sanober, sons of Maqbali, entered the house and opened fire on them.

Jehanzeb received multiple bullet injuries and expired on the spot. The accused made their escape a good. She told the police that they had old rivalry with the killers. Another person was killed allegedly by their rivals in Bhana Mari area on Tuesday, police said.

Muqtadullah told the police that Sajid and Shaboor, sons of Ibrahim; Khalil, son of Mohammad and his son Sher Afzal, came to the house of his brother-in-law Zafar Ali and shot him dead.

Separately, an employee of an ice factory namely Asad, son of Karim Khan, a resident of Charsadda, was run over by a passenger bus No FDH-1010 on Charsadda Road near Khazana Sugar Mills on Tuesday.
