JACOBABAD, June 5: A young girl was shot dead by her cousin on the pretext of karo-kari in Sardar Adam Khan Panhwar village near here on Saturday.
Accused Sardar Panhwar shot at and killed his cousin, Gulbano, daughter of Sultan Panhwar, while she was alone at home.
Neighbours rushed her to the Jacobabad Civil Hospital but she died on the way.
However, neither a case was registered nor autopsy conducted till the filing of this report.
ARRESTED: The Mauladad police arrested 30 members of the Jakhrani clan on Saturday in connection with the snatching of a car from the son of an adviser to the Sindh chief minister.
Six unidentified armed men had snatched an unregistered car from Mehfooz Khoso, son of Naseer Khan Khoso, in the jurisdiction of the Abad police station, near here on Friday.
Mr Khoso was going to Jacobabad from Karachi with his friends when the accused intercepted them.
