9 new cities connected with NWD

ISLAMABAD, June 3: Pakistan Telecommunications Company (PTCL) has provided nation wide dialling (NWD) facility to nine new cities and towns of the country.

A press release issued by the company said total number of cities and towns connected with NWD facility is about 2,079.

The nine cities/towns, which have been connected with nationwide dialling facility, are Bhuttah (0492), Marellawallah (0431), Gogran (06517), Agra (09322), Jat Garam (0935), Wanda Shmadu (0969), Churmian (0894), Kan (0894) and Wanda Auranbgzeb (0969).

The press release said apart from providing more telecom facilities in urban areas, the PTCL was in the process of further expanding its network in rural and far-flung areas, whereby more cities and towns of Pakistan would be connected with the nationwide dialling facility.

The PTCL has also earmarked a handsome amount for the development activities, in its annual budget. The company is fully cognisant of the commands of the future deregulated telecom sector, therefore, is keenly pursuing its development as well as its operational activities.
