PESHAWAR, May 31: Four people were killed over a monetary dispute in Ormar Bala area, while two others were shot dead in separate incidents in the city on Sunday.

According to police sources, Insaf, a resident of Kochiyan village in Ormar Bala, had a monetary dispute with Ismail Khan, an Afghan refugee.

They had developed differences over distribution of money they made from the sale of hashish in Dubai, sources said and added that both were awarded jail terms in the UAE over the charge of drug smuggling.

Insaf was awarded two-year imprisonment and was expelled from Dubai three years ago. Ismail Khan, his rival and onetime partner in narcotics smuggling, was awarded five-year term in the same case, the sources said.

Last week Ismail was released from Dubai prison and expelled to Peshawar, police officials said. On Saturday, he went to the house of Insaf and demanded his share from the sale of hashish. However, Insaf refused to pay any amount to Ismail Khan.

On Sunday morning, he went to the house of Insaf along with Ghani and an Afghan national. During talks to settle the dispute, both sides lost their cool and resorted to firing.

In the ensuing shootout Insaf and his two brothers, Imtiaz and Nasrullah, were killed, while an Afghan who had come with Ismail Khan, also died, the sources maintained. In a separate incident, Zardari allegedly killed Abdur Rehman in Bhana Mari area on Sunday.

A police official said the accused had a grudge over the kidnapping of his brother's wife, who was abducted by the deceased's father some 30 years ago from Miramshah in North Waziristan. Meanwhile, Naik Mohammad shot dead Haseebullah, 14, in Haryana Bala Village in the limits of Daudzai police station over a minor issue.
