LAHORE, May 8: Indian cricket chief Jagmohan Dalmiya, Sunil Gavaskar and Ravi Shastri would not be able to make themselves available to the ICC development seminar scheduled to start here on Sunday , as they had other engagements, Asian Cricket Council chief executive Ashraful Huq said on Saturday.

Mr Dalmiya was preoccupied with his business assignments, Shastri had to get permission from his employer while Gavaskar was in London from where he was to go to Dubai, Huq added.

He said that despite this, he was not concerned about the three prominent Indians' absence in the seminar as former Indian Test all-rounder Roger Binny had arrived to attend it.

Huq described the revival of cricketing relations between old foes as a good sign and said the seminar being organized for the first time by Pakistan, would further benefit the game.

The game was becoming popular in Asia, he said citing Nepal's win over South Africa in the Junior World Cup in Bangladesh earlier this year, as a proof.
