KARACHI, May 7: Asif Ali Zardari on Friday said that he would go to the International Court of Justice if the government tried to forcibly send him abroad.
He said this during an informal chat with journalists at the Central Prison where he was produced in Justice Nizam murder case.
Mr Zardari, who was brought from Islamabad late Thursday night, rejected reports regarding a deal with the government, saying these reports were part of the government's disinformation campaign.
Predicting a change in the political scenario of the country, Mr Zardari said that the time has come for the exiled politicians to return to the country. He said that the PPP had already declared that the party would welcome the PML-N chief Shahbaz Sharif if he returned to the country.
Mr Zardari said he was confident that Mr Shahbaz would defiantly return, adding that he would send a cake to compliment him as a goodwill gesture.
